Earlier this year, I was lucky enough to be approached by one the most fantastic authors around, Eva Jordan.
She needed some help with her manuscript and I had been recommended to her.
What an honour! Of course I said yes and so began several months of editing and rewrites and editing and so on …
About twenty minutes ago, my letterbox clanged and, as it sounded like a book, I ran like Usain Bolt to grab the delivery (I ignore the post when it doesn’t thud!)
Eva has sent me a personalised, signed copy of the finished product.
Her book, All the Colours in Between.
As I stood reading the dedication and smelling the glorious newness that comes with all books, I came over all funny with emotion … and I cried.
Happy tears, of course. I feel like a proud mother on school report day! Seeing the final product, the months of hard work Eva put in to this book for the world, the blood, sweat, and tears. Her whole heart, on these pages. I feel so proud and honoured to have been a part of making this happen. Making her dreams come true and helping to ensure that Eva’s voice is heard and understood by the readers … well, it’s just a magical feeling and one that I will always get when I see one of “my” authors with one of their masterpieces in their hands.
I also cried a little when I read the amazing reviews left by Sarah Hardy over at By The Letter Book Reviews and Lorraine Rugman over at The Book Review Café – you can read their thoughts by clicking on the blog names.
Well done, Eva, you are truly wonderful x
You can get your copy of this wonderful book over at Amazon now, I suggest you pick up a box of Kleenex too …
